Maryam, 12, was injured in an Israeli bombing in Khan Yunis a year ago and while doctors in Gaza were able to save her life by removing part of her skull, she still needed specialist brain surgery. A leading neurosurgeon has flown from America to Jordan to perform her operation but after she recovers Maryam's future is uncertain, as she and her mother will have to go back to Gaza.
