GOLDSBY, Okla. — Two Goldsby firefighters were killed in a rollover crash while responding to a structure fire.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Mark Southall, the crash occurred around 3 a.m. on March 20 when the fire department tanker left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned east of town, KOKH reported.

News9 stated troopers determined the tanker was traveling east on Redbud Road to a structure fire when the driver went off the roadway, overcorrected and caused the vehicle to roll over.

Two firefighters inside the tanker were killed in the crash. Their names have not been released.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no other injuries were reported.
