WALDEN, N.Y. — A fire heavily damaged the Coldenham Fire House and several fire apparatus on July 28, according to Orange County Emergency Services.
The fire, at the station on Coldenham Road in Walden, was brought under control, but the building and multiple department vehicles sustained extensive damage.

Five firefighters were evaluated for minor injuries and smoke inhalation at Garnet Health Medical Center and Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. Orange County Emergency Services said all five were treated and released.
The cause remains under investigation.
