Cheetahs – the high-performance sprinters of the savannah, no land mammal is faster than them. Super slow-motion camera footage shows their fascinating muscle action when they chase antelopes. But the hunters quickly become the hunted. Among African predators, they are the weakest link in the chain: lions hunt in packs, leopards are stronger, and hyenas are unbeatable as a clan. It is particularly difficult for female cheetahs, who roam the plains of Kenya with their offspring, defenceless.
