satellite imagery below.

There's been showers in the Gulf

Ball of convection in SW Carib

Weak, wandering westbound waves.

Putting Mimic here to show today....

...how parts of the US are protected

From tropical landfalls.

That's today...things do change.

But it's been a pattern so that's good.

There is only so far North tropical moisture...

...can go.

You see how there's a horizontal line.

Where cooler, drier air exists.

And remnant tropical moisture lingers.

You may ask why does Hurricane Season ends in November, but if this was one of those wild years with constant landfalling storms you would not even have time to ask. You might be saying "how much longer is this going on" but this is not that type of year. 2025 has been an all or nothing year. Weak, westbound waves, Invests and Tropical Storms trying to keeping it together and falling apart slowly in real time. Or a tropical wave goes all the way and becomes a Cat 5 Killer Hurricane. One could say there is no balance, but you can also say when you average out our weak storms with a Cat 5 Hurricanes you have an "average" sort of season overall.

Except for Barry that sort of kind of fomed in Carib.

But was a BOC storm...

Only Caribbean incursion was Melissa.

TS Chantal made landfall in the Carolinas.

Flooding ensued in a few places.

The rest all curved away.

Erin got close enuff to claim a few homes in Buxton.

Little short lived weak storms.

Cat 4 and 3 Cat 5s.

Strange year.

Chances for the rest of November?

Models play on various days...

...at developing something.

Currently we have fronts.

You have have noticed on Wxr YT

All the hurricane people ....

...be screaming for snow storms ;)

I admit I'm hoping to be here when it snows.

Have a short fast trip Southbound...

...should miss the frigid temps.

But hey can wear my boots in SFL

(really better not snow in RDU)

Not expected to but yes in the mountains!

So let's look at the next week's weather.

This is the money shot map.

Monday 2 fronts, reinforcing diving cold.

Wednesday the High builds in.

Cold front in Havana.

As long as this lasts......

Whatever forms in the Carib.

Is stuck in the Carib.

It'd have to take a sharp ENE route out.

Or slide into Central America.

Fast look at November Named Storms

This is your typical November tracker.

Cuba often is in the way of it's escape.

Kate formed in 1985 from a strong wave.

There is no strong wave.

Hard hit on Cuba... Gulf... Panhandle.

If there were no fronts and then one dove down..

1985 was a strong landfalling year for USA.

Unlike this year. See 1985 below.

Ouch!!!

And often storms slide West into Central America

(as I said)

Deeper into November it gets the less chance.

So yeah Fall if fading fast into winter.

Windy days have stolen leaves early.

Trees turned early because of fronts.

Love it.

Love the seasons!

Went out last night to Kohls.

Looked up at the sky.

Trees all golden.

Full Moon.

Enjoy the day!

Nice video below.

I have a friend who loves Fall & Celtic Music.

He'd enjoy it!

Hope you do too!
