The alert level was just raised at a segment of the active volcano that comprises the Portuguese island of Pico in the Azores. However, this thankfully did not involve the towering peak of Mount Pico, but rather a completely offshore and submarine portion of its edifice several kilometers away from the shoreline. Today's video will discuss why the alert level was raised, and speculate what might be occurring.
