Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayIn northern Ghana, rising temperatures, erratic rainfall and prolonged dry spells are making it harder for vulnerable communities to grow food and earn a living. People with psychosocial disabilities are among those most affected by these climate pressures. With support from the UNDP-Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA), Basic Needs Ghana is promoting dry-season vegetable gardening and climate-resilient organic farming. Across ten communities, more than 200 people, including persons with psychosocial disabilities, caregivers and widows, are cultivating gardens that improve food security, generate income and restore dignity. The initiative is rooted in local knowledge and community leadership, strengthening livelihoods while supporting inclusive climate adaptation.
