With his open cut locking up in ice, Parker Schnabel takes an aggressive gamble to carve out an emergency diversion channel and re-route McKinnon Creek. The flowing water has kept the rich gravel underneath unfrozen, giving him one last, desperate window to unearth thawed paydirt before the arctic cold shuts everything down. Meanwhile, across the claim, Todd Hoffman faces his own brutal winter showdown racing against time to pull off a plan that could salvage precious gold from the freezing conditions. Will Parker's emergency creek dig deliver the thawed gold he needs, or will Todd's crew find a way to beat the freeze before the season ends for good?
