On June 25, a powerful thunderstorm hit Paris, bringing torrential rain, intense lightning, and wind gusts reaching 130 kilometers per hour. Streets were flooded within minutes, disrupting traffic and damaging infrastructure across the city. Several metro stations, including Nation and Le Bourget, were submerged, and parts of the National Assembly building were flooded. Over 30,000 homes in the Île-de-France region lost electricity, and emergency services responded to more than 1,500 calls. Airports canceled dozens of flights, schools were closed, and cultural institutions like the Louvre suspended operations. Authorities issued an orange weather alert, warning residents to stay indoors as more severe weather is expected in the coming hours. #france #paris #storm
