Hainan has been hit by extreme rainfall, causing widespread flooding. Around 921 mm of rain fell in Baoting, while dozens of towns received more than 400 mm. More than 55,000 people were evacuated from dangerous areas amid floods, landslide risks, and infrastructure threats.
