Orgo-Life the new way to the future

NHC pulling the plug on Dolly.

Rain is expected to bless the islands that need rain.

Models however do different things.

So time will tell.

Been at this type of rodeo before.

(my Uncle used to take me to rodeos as a kid)

I'm just gonna watch one day at a time.

As long as there is something to watch...

...I'm watching.

Not like Edouard is breathing down our neck..

ya know.

Up close and person above.
Wide view Atlantic Basin below.

Doesn't look much different to me.

If anything wants to lift a bit I believe.

But it has issues to deal with currently.

Islands want, need rain.

El Nino years not easy on the Islands

Looks the same on Mimic.

I waited til the 11 AM

as I did think they might downgrade it.

And they did.

I will not list all the storms downgraded..

...that were later upgraded.

or parts of it helped seed another storm.

You know we sailed into this Hurricane Season knowing a Super El Nino was developing and because of that our expectations were tempered by that very fact, so we did not expect a whole lot of strong hurricanes. There's always "that one" that pops up in such years, either interesting, intense or forgettable except for trackers and researchers. A life of tracking the tropics and chasing the ones you can leaves you a realist and as a lover of all things that spin weather wise be they a hurricane or otherwise I am going to track it, watch it and obsess a little more than the average person. I love weather. I love maps. I love research. I love history. This is who I am. I also love music and dance and the specifically the dance of the atmosphere on satellite imagery.

front kicking up the rainfall out ahead of it

It's a fake front in the Carolinas.

Lots of rain in the Gulf close in..
....o
ff Carolina coast.

Rain lingers, hovers.

High excessive heat.

Still tropical.

Should a piece of Dolly get into an area..

..well time will tell.

NHC said in their Discussion ..

...there are models that show regeneration.

but they are some that do not.

As always time will tell!

My thoughts below on Dolly.

on Edouard (where are you?)
the 2026 Hurricane Season

And Hurricane History.

2002 and 2020

Bit of history on Dolly & Edouard.

go ahead Google should you wish...

This has been a rancid summer in the Carolinas, the type that led early settlers in the area to risk the threat of "West Indies Cyclones" and sit a bit down by the beach at a family cottage somewhere from OBX to Pawley's Island to Tybee Beach. Anywhere but inland with the red clay dirt baking and cracking and watching oaks and maples turn colors before their time due to the droughts that came with rancid summers in the South. They didn't know about El Nino then. They did not study it in depth in college getting degrees in Geopolitics where El Nino was a player politically early on as fishing fleets went out into contested waters that they may not have had the right to go into ... in search of fish. If you know you know but El Nino may save some from a landfalling major hurricane, but other places it causes drought, death and destruction. So temper your excitement over El Nino as it has a horrible downside you rarely see on your news apps. Just saying.

So I take what Mother Nature tosses at me this year and enjoy watching something that spins. I enjoy that it's a Named Storm Day even though it's not a Hurricane or something to chase close by and getting downgraded. So I'm not going to be nasty or bitchy and yes I am dreaming of Autumn in the Carolinas... a consolation gift from Mother Nature; a treasure disguised in golden colors and cool fresh air! I added Pumpkin Spice creamer to my coffee yesterday and smiled. It was good and it was an act of faith and belief in what will be as at some point Summer has an expiration date on it here. Even Lala bit the dust and the NHC stopped faithfully following it!

So where do we go from here? Some models show Dolly reforming and having a new lease on life closer in up the tropical road. Some do not. Then again being models they change their mind more than my daughter did at 5 years old as to which dress she wanted to wear. And, there's a wave behind it and one behind that one and at some point "please Dear God" there will be real fronts that dip down and then dawdle with their toes in the Gulf water on the Bahamas and sometimes in El Nino Years that is where we get our named storms from and or unusual Subtropical lows.

I have other hobbies you know. I also love Winter Storms and the possibility of snow. Go figure, after all these years I became crazy on snow. IYKYK so let's look ahead at the name Edouard and like all hurricane names one was memorable, and others were not.

Let's go back to 1996 a very busy year.

Well busy for NC that had 2 storms.

Edouard, before Fran & after Bertha..

Edouard traced the coast &...

buzzed by New England.

People up that way remember that one!

2002 an El Nino Year.

Very typical El Nino Hurricane Season.

Yes I know not 1997 nor 2026

Still an El Nino

Wierd tracks, loops and "boring"

Well except for Lili.

Lili was legit.

The real thing.

Note she didn't get going...

...until by the Yucatan.

(think Camille & Michael)

But also in 2002 there was a Dolly.

This is how Dolly stayed on the list.

El Nino years....

Also in 2020 Dolly was short lived.

But Edouard not so short lived.

But weak - 45 MPH

Another Edouard below.

Okay that's a signature....

Edouard was unique with his signature.

It did make Landfall ....

So there's a little hurricane history repeating....

....generally weak Dolly & Edouard sometimes odd.

...gonna cook dinner.
Make some plans...

...obsess on the tropics another day.

But will be definitely watching Dolly's remnants.

That you can take to the bank.

Cause you just never know in an El Nino Year.

What Mother Nature will suddenly toss at you.

El Nino years like surprises.

Sweet Dreams,

BobbiStorm

Ps leaving this song here....

... because it works and my daughter Dina Dee loves it.

I mean loves it and has has since a young kid.

She's always loved Janis

Some kids listen to nursery rhymes...

others discovered Janis

(and not from me)

She apparently was born with the soul...

...of a hippy.

(that's what she said at 9 years old)

(never ask your kids what their past life was trust me)

She got remarried on grounds of Woodstock

She remarried her ex, father of their child.

at a Music Festival last month.

Yes, I walked her down the aisle.

(well into the tent with a muddy straw floor)

I had a good time, it was a win win!

The Hurriane Season is not over.

Moving into Prime Time soon...

keep watching.

Never Stop Chasing.

Never stop dancing!
