• Navaornis hestiae was named after the Greek goddess Hestia, the oldest and youngest Olympian (Navaornis is an old bird with a modern looking skull) source
• Baminornis zhenghensis may be the first bird to ever evolve a pygostyle (to support tail feathers) source
• A new Archaeopteryx specimen was described (making it the 14th of all time) source
