The Gentle Snare is such an important tool in our toolbox. It enables us to approach a scared dog and secure it while standing 6 feet away. The only disadvantage is that it gives us very little protection because it's a flexible stick. In dangerous cases like with Maddy, we placed two snares, and I asked @xoxoLoreta to stand on the opposite side so we could protect each other if needed. The snare also serves as a lasso when the dog tries to leave at high speed. You can't train for this... you just need to learn the speed of the snare, figure out the speed of the dog, keep the camera in your hand aimed correctly, and then you can get the dog - easy. 😅 👍 https://www.HopeForPaws.org
