Breastfeeding outcomes are shaped not only by education and motivation, but also by access to timely, culturally responsive lactation management within hospitals. Yet prior research has highlighted persistent disparities: families who face cost barriers or structural inequities often receive less effective guidance, slower follow-up, or fewer tailored interventions during the postpartum period.

In this investigation, researchers evaluated how ci-BPC addresses these shortcomings by combining peer counseling with clinical coordination. Overall, the results add to a growing body of “viral” health-equity science showing that health systems can improve outcomes by redesigning support infrastructure—not just expanding generic services.
