A heated political controversy has erupted after two Labour MPs were denied entry to Israel and deported, accused of attempting to "spread anti-Israel hatred." In an interview with Sky News, Emily Thornberry, chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, criticised Israel for being "badly advised" in its handling of the Labour MPs. She stated, "instead of alienating them, I really think that Israel should try to engage them rather than humiliate them in this fashion."
