Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayYesterday, Hawaii's Kilauea volcano produced a series of record setting 1,600 foot high sustained lava fountains! But, because the associated eruption plume rose to such substantial heights, it caused tephra to rain down on many nearby communities, some as far as 25 miles away. A dozen flights were cancelled, roads were closed, and the entire summit area of Kilauea within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park was temporarily closed. This was unusual, representing episode 41 of Kilauea's intermittent broader eruption which began about 1 year ago. Today's video is analyzed by a geologist and volcanologist.
