39 large cracks formed at Hawaii's Kilauea volcano due to a shallow intrusion of magma which occurred between September 30th 2026 and October 1st 2026. And yet, no magma reached the surface to cause a new eruption, despite getting fairly close. Today's video will show where these cracks are, and how the volcano's 2018 caldera collapse might serve as a weak point where a future hypothetical magma intrusion could occur.
