SINGAPORE — Travelers across Asia Pacific can look forward to more ways to discover, book, and enjoy memorable experiences as Klook and Mastercard strengthen their collaboration to make travel more seamless and rewarding.

Klook and Mastercard Team Up to Bring More Rewarding Travel Experiences Across Asia Pacific
Klook, a leading pan-regional experiences platform in Asia Pacific, and Mastercard, a global payments technology company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create new travel and lifestyle opportunities for consumers across the region.
The partnership centers on three key areas: delivering greater value to Mastercard cardholders, expanding access to travel and lifestyle experiences, and exploring innovative payment solutions.
The collaboration comes as travelers increasingly place experiences at the heart of their trips while remaining conscious of value. Findings from Klook’s Travel Pulse 2026 highlight how travelers are changing the way they plan and spend on holidays, with unique activities, events, and experiences playing an increasingly important role in destination decisions.
According to the research, 47% of consumers in Asia Pacific actively look for deals, discounts, and bundled offers, while 42% book their trips earlier to secure better prices. At the same time, travelers are increasingly allowing experiences to shape where they go rather than choosing a destination first.
More than half of travelers surveyed no longer necessarily start their planning with a specific destination in mind. Around 23% select a destination based on a particular activity, while 73% are willing to travel to a lesser-known city to attend a unique event.
More Perks for Mastercard Cardholders
Against this backdrop, Klook and Mastercard are set to introduce new propositions designed to give travelers more value from their trips.
The collaboration will include exclusive discounts and privileges for Mastercard cardholders, particularly during the year-end travel season. The companies also plan to develop a broader range of entertainment and lifestyle benefits as the partnership expands.
For travelers, the collaboration could mean more opportunities to access attractions, activities, entertainment, and other experiences while taking advantage of cardholder-exclusive offers.
“Experiences give travel meaning, creating moments that become lasting memories,” said Eric Gnock Fah, Co-Founder and President at Klook. “By combining Klook’s experiences platform with Mastercard’s global network and trusted payments infrastructure, we can help travelers discover more, unlock greater value, and spend less time planning and more time experiencing the world.”
Building the Future of Connected Travel
Mastercard sees the partnership as part of a broader shift toward travel ecosystems that combine technology, payments and experiences.
“The future of travel will be shaped by ecosystems that bring together the best of technology, payments and experiences,” said Peter Robejsek, Executive Vice President, Market Development, Asia Pacific, Mastercard.
He added that collaborations with companies such as Klook can help deliver more personalized and rewarding travel journeys by combining insights into traveler behavior with Mastercard’s payments capabilities.
The partnership is also expected to explore opportunities beyond discounts and travel perks. Klook and Mastercard will look at potential areas such as deeper data collaboration and next-generation payment technologies.
What It Means for Travelers
For travelers across Asia Pacific, the partnership reflects a broader evolution in how people plan their holidays. Instead of simply choosing a destination and then deciding what to do, many travelers are increasingly building trips around concerts, attractions, festivals, food, outdoor adventures, and other experiences.
The Klook-Mastercard collaboration aims to make those experiences easier to discover and potentially more accessible through exclusive cardholder benefits and new payment innovations.
As the partnership develops, travelers can expect more announcements covering entertainment, lifestyle, and travel-related opportunities.
Ultimately, Klook and Mastercard are positioning the collaboration around a simple idea: travel should be easier to plan, more rewarding to experience, and filled with moments worth remembering.
