A M7.2 & M7.5 struck Venezuela yesterday evening within 38 seconds of each other. As a result, severe & widespread damage occurred including to many high rise buildings some of which even collapsed, and there is a legitimate potential that more than 40,000, possibly even more than 100,000 fatalities could have occurred. This may end up being Venezuela's worst historical natural disaster, all caused by a closely spaced doublet earthquake of the Boconó Fault Zone.
