The Mayon volcano today produced its largest eruption in multiple years, sending a scorching hot pyroclastic flow 4 kilometers or 2.5 miles down its Mi-isi gully. This thankfully did not harm anyone, but did cause large quantities of ash to fall on nearby communities. Today's video discusses the pyroclastic flows and why they were generated along with speculation on what might happen next.
