JAMESVILLE, N.C. — A fire truck from Jamesville Volunteer Fire and EMS was heavily damaged after catching fire inside the firehouse on Aug. 5.
The fire started shortly after 5 p.m. and took about an hour to extinguish, according to WITN. The firehouse also suffered damage.

Fire officials say the department had the ladder truck for only about six months before the fire.
The estimated loss, including the truck and equipment, exceeds $1 million.
