Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Mount Pelee volcano on the French Island of Martinique is still at a raised alert level 5 years after it was raised. This is owed to volcanic unrest still occurring in 2025, involving an increased rate of earthquakes, minor ground deformation, and even the dying off of some localized vegetation. In what is the final part of my 4 part series on Mount Pelee, I discuss its ongoing unrest and what has occurred during the last 5 years. You can read more about Pelee's ongoing unrest at the relevant local volcano observatory webpage: https://www.ipgp.fr/observation/ovs/ovsm/ Thumbnail Photo Credit: This work "Pelee10", is a derivative of a photo (resized, cropped, decreased image's original color temperature, sharpened image, made image have more green in color balance options, text overlay, overlaid with GeologyHub made graphics (the image border & the GeologyHub logo)) from "Montagne Pelée", by: Jean & Nathalie, jries, 2005, Posted on Flickr, Flickr account link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jries/, Photo link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jries/516194032/, CC BY 2.0.
