A place for plant people? Yes, please! I came across Plantasia in Lockhart last weekend during the Holiday Home Tour and stopped to check it out.

Sturdy cedar tables with shade sails and string lights make an appealing setup for the plants. A stock-tank pond adds ranch style.

Plantasia carries a variety of Texas native plants and adapted species too.

Plant browsing on a beautiful December day

A long porch leads to the shop…

…which has a small selection of pots, tools, houseplants, and gifts.

Bandanas, sage sticks, Christmas ornaments, and more

A Christmas tree with garlands of dried orange slices and other natural elements adds holiday cheer.

Outside, I admired these mesh chairs and breeze blocks.

Owner Mariella Quintanilla opened Plantasia in September 2025, and it looks like a great addition to the town. Mariella told me she also operates Lockhart Rewilds, a design studio specializing in Texas native landscapes. Check out Plantasia Thursday through Sunday on Cibolo Street in Lockhart, Texas.
