Every day the world’s tested by nature’s mite. The Earth’s governed by several monumental forces of nature, but none with the power of heat. Desert animals are some of the most specialised inhabitants of the planet. From gazelles that can drink salt water to elephants that can dig to find underground reservoirs, to long legged hedgehogs to keep their bodies off the hot sand and jack rabbits with giant ears to keep them cool. Climate change is cranking up the dial and humans are partly responsible. We clear cut forests, covered the whole planet and endlessly burn fossil fuel to try and meet our energy needs. If we can learn from our mistakes, we can improve our situation. Heat can be a destructive force, but it’s also the energy that sustains life.
