Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayMarshall the Golden Retriever Rings Doorbell After Quick Escape
In Spokane, Washington, a three-month-old Golden Retriever named Marshall gave his family—and the internet—a good laugh after a short-lived escape from home. What began as a bold dash for freedom quickly turned into a comical moment of regret.
After slipping out the door, Marshall’s sense of adventure seemed to vanish almost immediately. Realizing he’d made a mistake, the playful pup trotted back to the house and tried to get back inside. Surveillance footage captured him scratching at the door and even pressing his nose against the doorbell—several times—creating a knocking sound that made the scene even more adorable.

Greg Basel, Marshall’s owner, shared the video online, where viewers were charmed by the young dog’s determination to get back to safety. In the clip, Marshall’s fluffy ears bounce as he shifts between scratching the door and ringing the bell, clearly eager for someone to let him in.
Fortunately, someone quickly opened the door, allowing the little runaway to dash back into the warmth of home. While no one can say for sure if Marshall has truly learned his lesson, his brief taste of freedom will likely serve as a reminder that the great outdoors can be overwhelming—especially when you’re still just a pup.
