A rare oarfish, also known as a 'doomsday' fish, and said to be a bringer of bad news, was discovered in shallow waters in Baja California, off the Pacific coast of Mexico. Oarfish live all over the world, and are usually found at depths of about 600 ft, but can be found living much deeper, and tend to be found ashore only after storms or when they are dead or dying
