On July 9, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime) officially unveiled the SM Seaside Cebu Arena to a select group of trade, industry, and corporate partners, showcasing it as a premier venue. This event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing development of its South Road Properties (SRP) estate, highlighting the project’s expansion and its commitment to creating a world-class entertainment and events hub in Cebu.

“This arena is part of our long-term vision for Cebu. By creating a world-class platform for live entertainment and large-scale gatherings within SRP, we give local and foreign tourists another reason to visit and stay longer,” said Jeffrey C. Lim, SM Prime president. “More importantly, this investment will generate economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs and nearby communities.”

SM Seaside Cebu Arena offers direct access to SM Seaside City Cebu, the upcoming SMX Convention Center Seaside Cebu, Park Inn by Radisson, and Radisson Hotel. This development forms a complete lifestyle, tourism, and business hub in the Queen City of the South.

The trade launch attracted 400 guests from sectors including events, entertainment, tourism, hospitality, and corporate. It featured an hour-long flythrough showcasing the venue’s size, design, and event capabilities, providing an early glimpse.

Designed by the acclaimed global architecture firm Arquitectonica, this P7-billion arena covers over seven hectares of gross floor area and has a capacity of up to 25,000 spectators. Its exterior features wave-shaped glass windows, reminiscent of the distinctive façade of its sister venue, the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Cebu’s largest and most advanced center-hung display at SM Seaside Cebu Arena offers crystal-clear visuals, immersive sound, and real-time data integration for a variety of events including sports, concerts, EDM, family entertainment, corporate shows, circuses, and motorsports.

SM Seaside Cebu Arena not only stands as the largest facility of its kind in the Visayas, but also provides the highest quality live entertainment experience with its Premier Suites.

The venue features 30 luxury Premier Suites positioned above the VIP sections. Each suite can host between 13 and 31 guests and offers high-end seating, private restrooms, and clear views of the event floor. Suite owners and their guests also gain access to exclusive VIP lounges, a café, and a private entrance.

SM Seaside Cebu Arena will kick off its major events calendar with the BINI Signals World Tour on July 11. Upcoming shows will also feature IV of Spades, TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan, Hillsong Worship, and LANY.
