Co-organized by UNEP, FAO, and UNDP, this tri-agency session brought together adaptation practitioners, government representatives, and development partners to explore how countries can design and implement robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems that align with National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA). This session built on key decisions from COP29, including the Baku Adaptation Road Map, the UAE–Belém Work Programme on Indicators, and enhanced support for national MEL systems to gain insights on tracking, implementing adaptation goals, opportunities for alignment and much more.
