Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThis week, blue lava erupted at an unexpected volcano in Indonesia; the Papandayan volcano. Meanwhile, in Alaska, the Gareloi volcano explosively erupted for its first time in 8 years. And, in Japan, the alert level was raised at the Hokkaido-Komagatake volcano. Today's video will discuss these volcano news stories via a geologist, and list the 47 volcanoes actively erupting around the planet. Note: This video's thumbnail image shows a pre-2026 photo of blue "lava" at the Ijen volcano. Since I do not have a photo showing the same thing occurring in the last week at Papandayan (despite the fact this phenomenon did occur there), I am using this photo to represent it. Note: Papandayan is not erupting as of when this video was made, the blue "lava" is just molten sulfur which melted from elemental sulfur deposits.
