Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA damaging wildfire occurred at Italy's Campi Flegrei volcano this week. However, this wildfire was not volcanic in origin. Meanwhile, in Alaska, a new eruption occurred at the Atka volcano. And, in Indonesia, the largest eruption of the Karangetang volcano in multiple years threw lava bombs beyond 1,000 meters away from its summit. Today's video will discuss these stories through the opinion and analysis of a geologist and list the 48 world volcanoes that are actively erupting. Note: This video's thumbnail image displays a pre-2026 eruption of Mount Etna. It is meant to show what Karangetang's night time eruption might have looked like on July 12th 2026. Mount Etna as of July 21st 2026 seems to have paused its eruption and is NOT actively erupting.
