This week, an unusual strong gas plume began rising from Iran's tallest volcano; Mount Damavand. Meanwhile, the alert level at a United States volcano was raised due to increasing seismic and degassing activity. And, in the Philippines, continuous volcanic tremor has been ongoing at the Taal volcano for more than 75 hours at this point, suggesting an increased likelihood of it soon erupting. Today's video will discuss these stories and list the 43 volcanoes which are actively erupting around the planet through the perspective of a geologist.
