This week, a pyroclastic flow unexpectedly occurred on France's island of Reunion due to an ongoing eruption of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano. Meanwhile, in the Canary Islands on Tenerife, the Teide volcano produced three hybrid earthquake swarms involving a combined more than 5000 earthquakes. And, in Hawaii, the Kilauea volcano produced a series of hours long sustained up to 1,300 foot high lava fountains. Today's video will discuss these stories through the opinion and analysis of a geologist and list the 43 world volcanoes that are actively erupting.
