The chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee has told Sky News she is "completely delighted" that a peace deal appears to have been agreed between Israel and Hamas overnight. Speaking to Sky's Darren McCaffrey, Dame Emily Thornberry said credit must go to Donald Trump as "it wouldn't have happened without him", but she acknowledged that "there's a difference between a ceasefire... and a lasting peace". The Labour MP added that she is "completely relaxed" about former prime minister Sir Tony Blair playing a leading role in the future governance of Gaza.
