Hurricane Melissa, the most powerful hurricane of the year so far, has hit Cuba after ripping through Jamaica. The Category 5 hurricane, which has now been downgraded, has left a trail of destruction in Jamaica, with Prime Minister Andrew Holness saying it "ravaged" the country. Sky's science correspondent Thomas Moore said Hurricane Melissa is "only the second or third powerful hurricane in recorded Atlantic history".
