Donald Trump has lashed out at the UK in his latest Truth Social post. The US president wrote: "Shockingly, our 'brilliant' NATO Ally, the United Kingdom, is currently planning to give away the Island of Diego Garcia, the site of a vital U.S. Military Base, to Mauritius, and to do so FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER." He is referring to the UK's decision to hand the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, which includes the island of Diego Garcia and its UK-US military base. Under the signed deal, the site of the base will be leased back to the UK for 99 years.
