The US may have pulled their bombers back from RAF Fairford over fears Iran was planning to target the base in a mass drone attack. That operation saw 117 Ukrainian drones target Russian long-range bombers on an airfield at Belaya Air Base in June 2025. Donald Trump said the decision to remove the bombers were due to "threats" to the airbase.
