She highlighted that "for the first time", every country in the Arab League has condemned Hamas, along with the Palestinian Authority. The foreign secretary went on to say that the UK has been joined by France, Canada, Australia and Portugal in recognising Palestine, which has already been given statehood status by more than 140 UN countries.
