Pat McFadden has said young people could lose their right to universal credit if they do not engage with new plans to get people into work. The work and pensions secretary has unveiled significant plans to increase the number of young people in work, which includes creating new government-funded jobs, training and apprenticeships. Asked if those who refuse to comply with the scheme could see their benefits withdrawn, McFadden told Sky News: "Yeah, it could be. We see this as both an offer and an obligation."
