In this webinar, we'll present results from our analysis of job ads and employer interviews about the knowledge, skills and dispositions that geoscience employers are seeking in applicants for entry-level geoscience jobs, and how they assess applicants for those qualities. In addition, we will share the resources we've developed to help instructors integrate workforce preparation into their courses and programs to support students in transitioning successfully to a job in the geosciences. Discussion will focus on how to build on what instructors are already doing to shift from implicit preparation of students for the workforce to the use of explicit strategies.
