Gemmy green sodalite from Kangerlussaq, Ilímaussaq complex, Narsaq, Kujalleq, Greenland. In the first image, the specimen is shown fluorescing under shortwave UV; then in the next pictures, are shown, respectively: longwave UV fluorescence, tenebrescence, natural color, then SW, LW, tenebrescence and natural color of the back side of the specimen.

This type of sodalite has a much weaker fluorescence than other sodalite varieties from Greenland, but has a very beautiful color in daylight. The tenebrescence of the white areas contrasts beautifully with the dark green gemmy areas.
