There is a high chance that the Lokon volcano will soon erupt. Continuous volcanic tremor, strong degassing, and an ongoing earthquake swarm all point to this possibility. As a result, this volcano's alert level was raised from 2 to 3, and a 2.5 kilometer exclusion zone was declared in all directions around its Tompaluan Crater.
