Heavy downpours have hit northeastern Sichuan and northern Chongqing, causing localized flooding. Dachuan received 96.5 mm of rain in 24 hours, while Xuanhan recorded 88.2 mm. Some areas of Dazhou received 80 to 100+ mm of rainfall. Rainfall intensity reached 20 to 30 mm per hour in some areas. Water levels in the Xiaojiang River rose rapidly in Kaizhou. The river level increased by approximately 6.5 to 7 meters. Floodwater has covered sections of roads in low-lying areas of Kaizhou. Flooding has also been reported in Dazhou and other parts of northeastern Sichuan. Strong water flows are moving through mountainous areas and local waterways. Sichuan and Chongqing are currently experiencing heavy rain and localized flooding.
