Hainan was hit by extreme rainfall and severe flooding, with Wanning and Tunchang among the hardest-hit areas. Some parts of Wanning received more than 600 millimeters of rain, causing rivers and waterways to rise rapidly. Floodwater submerged roads, damaged infrastructure, triggered landslides, and cut off some communities.
