Yesterday, a M5.6 earthquake struck western California, causing power outages and throwing items off of shelves. This was the largest earthquake to strike the land portion of California in multiple years, and surprisingly did not originate on the San Andreas Fault. Instead, it originated within the Maacama Fault Zone, within what I interpret is an unmapped largely buried fault line. Today's video will discuss this June 24th 2026 earthquake.
