A strong M5.7–5.9 earthquake struck Qinghai in northwestern China, with the epicenter near Dachaidan in Haixi Prefecture. The shallow quake caused strong shaking across the surrounding area, including near Golmud. Several buildings were reportedly damaged, while emergency teams began inspecting roads, infrastructure, and other structures.
