Heavy rain is hitting Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet, raising the risk of flash floods, landslides, and mudflows. In Ya’an, Sichuan, 300.7 mm of rain fell in about 14 hours, triggering flash floods and mudslides. In Suichuan, Jiangxi, more than 18,000 people were evacuated as flooding and landslides hit the region, while strong winds are also affecting parts of southern China.
