China is battling major flooding across Henan, the Taihu Lake Basin, and Shanghai. In Henan, a levee breach near Zhoukou sent floodwaters into surrounding areas, triggering large-scale pumping operations. Around Taihu Lake, rising water levels are putting pressure on rivers and low-lying areas across Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Shanghai is also dealing with heavy rain, flooded roads, and overwhelmed drainage systems.
