Powerful torrential rains are causing severe flooding across Guangxi in southern China. Chongzuo, Fangchenggang, Qinzhou, Pingxiang and surrounding areas have been hit by rising rivers and widespread flooding. Water levels on several rivers have surged above warning levels, while roads, farmland and low-lying communities are submerged. Heavy rain is continuing, with authorities warning of more flooding, flash floods and landslides.
