Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA massive ice-and-rock avalanche struck the Himalayas near the Nepal-China border on 26 August. The collapse blocked a river, creating a dangerous natural dam and barrier lake. Water then broke through, sending a powerful torrent of mud, ice and rocks down the valley. The flow damaged roads, bridges, buildings and infrastructure in northern Nepal and Tibet. Another avalanche later fell near the newly formed lake, adding around 50,000 cubic meters of ice debris. Satellite data also revealed a second lake upstream that continues to grow. Nepal and China are closely monitoring the area as experts warn that another breach could trigger a new flood wave. #Nepal #NepalFlood #FlashFlood
