Nepal's major landslide which triggered a more than 50 meter high flash flood has left a path of destruction along at least a 90 kilometer long stretch of a populated river valley. And now, due to the landslide dams which formed with lake water pooling behind them, there is a risk of a 2nd flood occurring. Today's video discusses this risk, how it stopped rescue work temporarily on August 28th, and whether this entire disaster might have any relation to the 2015 Nepal earthquake. I want to remind everyone that the risk of these landslide dams and possible outburst floods from them are being evaluated. There is a chance in my opinion that we are overestimating (or underestimating, possibly) the hazards from such could be. The danger could also pass without anything of note happening. We do not know yet. This video's title merely notes that a second flood could occur, and is not suggesting a guarantee that such will happen.
